Day of the Dead tours with the ICC
*Mitla (the City of the Dead) Visit the indigenous market of Tlacolula and the maginifcent tapestries of the famous weavers of Teotitlan del Valle. Lunch will be provided in the home of a well-renowned Zapotec weaver. We will also visit a mezcal factory and the famed ancient Tule tree.
*Zaachila Field trip to the Market of the Dead in Zapotec town, Zaachila. Includes a visit to the famous ruins of Cuilapan and a 16th century open chapel. The tour is given by an English-speaking guide and lunch is provided.8 *Market of the Dead Visit one of the best indigenous markets in Oaxaca, as well as the neighboring towns of Coyotepec (black pottery), San Martin Tilcajete (wood-carved animals) and Santo Tomas Jamietza (black strap weavers).
